Spec: EVGA 400W psu
Amd Ryzen 5 2600

Hi my PC has been fine for almost 1 and half year now.

Suddenly it wont turn on.

When I connect the PSU there is 3 blinking red light on top left of motherboard near I/O.

When I power on the fan runs half a second then its dead. After that if I power on nothing happens.

My likely suspect is PSU at the moment but any advice you guys will have will be amazing.

Thanks,

Solution

I tried again with my old PSU and same problems.

Have you tried clearing the CMOS?
Have you tried booting with no drives connected to see if you can get into the BIOS?

Hi so far I have tried these.

  • clear CMOS through JBAT-1
  • clean ram slot, tried different ram slot
-tried booting with no drive

When I unplug the PSU power cord and rejoin this red light blinks 3 times,
Well I have a new PSU arriving tomorrow.
I am just worried if it is not PSU then what am I looking at.

At the moment I am just have CPU, with CPU heatsink and fan, Ram plugged in nothing else.
I have plugged in CPU and ATX plugged into PSU.

Please share any of your knowledge on these.

Thanks

Is the motherboard outside the case?
Do you have 1 stick of RAM located in slot DIMM_A2?
