Monitor: MSI PRO MP223

Hi, so basically when I power off my monitor using its power button and leave it for a few minutes, I can't turn it on again using the power button, the only thing that I'm doing to power it on is to unplug it and wait for a bit then put it back on, after that I can power it on again. Idk if it's a power cutting technology, or something faulty.

New monitor?

Has the monitor always done that or did the problem just start?

Try another known working monitor on your computer.

Try the MP223 on another known working compter.

Determine if the problem follows the monitor or stays with the computer.

= = = =

Also, have you installed the monitor drivers?

If not, download, install, and configure as applicable.

Just as a matter of elimination.

Ever since it came out of the box it did that.

And yes I have the drivers installed, but I don't think it's configurable.

I have yet to try it on a different computer.

Try the the monitor on another known working computer.

Also take a close look at all of the monitor's properties via Device Manager (General, Driver, Details, Events) for anything unexpected or not as it should be.

Failing that.....

This monitor?

[Do verify that I found the applicable User Guide.]

Refer to the User Guide to double check the OSD settings.

I did not note any explicit power saving features but there is a Eco tab (Page 11) - the User Guide does not go into detail regarding end user choices within the tabs.

There is also a reference on Page 14 to "Auto Scan" and "power saving mode". Check those settings.

Note the OSD "time out" option on Page 15. Allow more time as necessary so you can see and read menu items.
