MSI R8 270X with 3 monitors

I just purchased a new MSI Radeon R9 270X 2Gb model. I have one VGA monitor and two dvi, one of which also supports dvi.

The problem I have been experiencing is that when I plug in all the monitors, it will only display to two at a time. If I try to enable the third it requires me to disable another first. I planned on using a HDMI to vga adapter to hook up the vga monitor but then this happened. I am not sure if it is a software issue, or if the card is faulty or if I am simply using the wrong cables. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Forgot to mention, the outputs of the card are 1x HDMI, 1x Display port, and 2x dvi

I found out the problem. AMD cards only support output on two legacy(non-DisplayPort) ports at once. Apparently if you use an active DisplayPort to some other port adapter it will act as a native DisplayPort and you can have up to 6 monitors that way. I will soon be purchasing a DisplayPort to DVI adapter to use.
