Okay so I couldn't fit it all in the title, but as of yesterday, my R9 270x is malfunctioning. I'm thinking it's gotta be due to dust build up. I went out of town for 4 days(the card was working fine before the trip), and when I got home, I booted up, got to the logon screen and then *poof*, my display cut off. Booted up again, was able to log in this time, and then about 3 minutes later, it cuts off again. I already know it's the card because my 5770 works fine in the same pci slot. So, what I want to know is, if I give my 270x a thorough cleansing and a new coat of thermal paste, would it possibly work again? And I really mean thorough.
