I long story short. My old graphics card broke, so I got a refurbished msi r9 270x. It worked for about 2 weeks then when I restarted my computer today, it turned on and had white bars along the screen and went to the "Windows did not shut down properly" thing. Once hitting start windows normally, it would try to start, then after about 15 seconds it would restart the computer and try again but do the same thing

Here is a video of what exactly happens. I know some stuff about computers but I am not well enough to know most things. Also when I took my graphics card out my pc worked perfectly.

Send the card back. I am not kidding here. For whatever reason, Msi and the Radeon R series cards have been cursed, my old R7 260x being one of them. Went through two of them before bucking up and buying a sapphire card. The speculation behind all these problems is drivers, but I don't really know if thats the case. I always thought it was a case of quality control myself.

Proof of what happened with my R7 260X

(My Msi forum post from close to a year ago about artifacting with this thing. My TH name and forum name match as an fyi)

I had a saphire 270x in the first place, that thing was a beast. sadly my computer happened to be under a major leak in my ceiling and ruined that and the mb. I just now got enough money to buy this 270x and now it's a bad card? ;-; fml

Yeah, sorry man, especially about what happened to your old pc, that just sucks. What really sucks is this just appears to be Msi having problems like these. My Sapphire R9 280 has been a night and day difference compared to my R7 260X because I haven't had artifacting. Hopefully you can return it because no one should have to deal with faulty hardware.
