MSI R9 280X Twin Frozr power

I recently purchased this graphics card and put it into my computer, I found that there were no power cables in the box, only the adapters. I have had a look but I have no cables for it. It has a 6 pin port and 8 port so I looked online and I can only find the adaptors and no actual cables. If anyone could give me a link to one that would be great, Thanks

i though the power cables comes from the psu not the gpu. have you try to power up ur gpu with the 6+2 + 6 cable from the psu?

The only power cables that came with the psu was one for my hard drive and one with 8 pin on one end that goes into the psu and 2 6 pin on the other end with a small 2 pin one attatched, i have tried with just this and the fans do not spin, they start to but them stop, im assuming thats lack of power and i have seen alot of videos and they all have a 6 pin plugged in and 8 pin plugged into the gpu aswell.

Your psu should provide all the cables needed to power up hardware components. The adapters that comes with the gpu shouldn't really be used. Most modern good quality psu will have the required cables.

I believe i have found the problem, it was a fault with the graphics card as i have seen many others with this problem too.
