MSI R9 290 doesnt show up on my pc

I just bought this new graphics card and my pc doesn't recognise it. I've tried everything and think i have to change the motherboard (p8h61 mx usb3).

I've changed the drivers, messed with the bios and nothing works. The fans actually spin round on the graphics card, it just doesnt show up as a device so it doesnt work. I need help guys, is there something i'm missing here or am i gonna have to buy a new mobo?

Has anyone else had this issues with this card?

I take it you get a display with the card and that you've plugged the monitor cable/s into it?

No i don't get any display with the card, when i plug in the hdmi cable it doesnt register it, right now my display settings are throught the mobo because the gpu is useless.

Update: ok i fixed it, i had to change the psu....
