Msi r9 290x temperatures

Hi, I have an msi r9 290x. When i play battlefield 4 or far cry 4 the temperature of the gpu is around 94-96 celcius is that normal ???

yes its normal for that gpu to run at 100 degrees

r9 290 produces alot of heat if you wanted less heat you should have chose a gtx 970

i was worry if the thermal paste is not good or any of the screws are not tight..?

I have a MSI r9 290x gaming. and my gpu does not go above 75 degrees. however the vrm 1 or vrm 2 (not sure) goes indeed too the 93c + This is only when doing a stability test in Aida64 howevery. in games the vrm temps dont go above 80 degrees. I ques its just all fine.

I personally don't like getting my 290 to hot so have installed a NZXT g10 water cooler with 240mm radiator. Can now play full spec @ 1000Mhz with temperature never going above 70
