Hello, I recently found out my current graphics card (Radeon hd 6870 powercolor 1gb) can't run the new Star wars battlefront demo as it requires at least 2gb. So I am looking for a new graphics card to last me 4-5 years down the line. basically after hours of looking the R9 390 seems a solid choice, the only concern is the power consumption and if my system can run it smoothly.

Intel Core I7 2600K ( @3.4GHz,(8 CPUs), ~3.7GHz)
700w Xigmatek (80plus bronze)
8gb Corsair 1600mhz Vengeance
Windows 10
Samsung 840 EVO 500GB
Thermaltake Frio

Basically I am after some feedback about if my system will be able to run this card OK with the current 700w before I order. if not I am open to suggestions on a suitable card. I am not so bothered about playing games in max settings like ultra but at the same time I would like to have a great card that play games in High.

Any help would be great.

Yes , and it would be a great upgrade for your system. Also, good that you picked an R9 390 over the gtx 970 as it is the best price/performance gpu now. Also, AMD seems more optimised for DX 12 asynchronous compute and some games use more than 4gb of vram on 1080p.
P.S. I just wanted to write some reasons to get the R9 390 over the similarly priced gtx 970.

No, problem.
P.S. I also just ordered two days ago the MSI Gaming R9 390, but I am building a new pc (my first build but I am very well documented).
