Please help!
I just got the MSI R9 390 and the fans aren't spinning!
CPU:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60GHz
RAM: 12GB
PSU: 850 Watt

Solution
You say the GPU temp goes up to 99°....it shouldn't if your just in the windows desktop, i.e not running a game. This is the point of MSI's 'zero Frozr' technology.

Use the software below to uninstall all traces of your driver package, then reboot your PC and confirm that the default windows driver is picked up on the card in device manager (try the AMD uninstaller first and if you get the same issue then uninstall via the DDU uninstaller on guru3d):

Once your back in windows and have confirmed that the default MS device driver is driving the card, try to 'automatically detect...

Yes. I know that. I tried running Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 on highest settings, it goes up to 99 degrees celcius then my PC crashes.

Where do I get them? Plus, I just installed the GPU today so I installed all the latest drivers.

EDIT: I used autodetect drivers.

As long as you have 15.11.1 or later you should be OK. To make sure that isn't the problem go here and check that fan speed is off :

I don't have the fan speed option.

How do I check the version and how do I install another one?

P.S. Sorry if I'm being annoying, I'm kinda new to this.

EDIT: I have 15.11

Do I have to uninstall? I already started the installation of 15.11.1.

Ok. There. I did it. Is it normal that I still have "Radeon Settings" and "Amd Gaming Evolved" but when I try to launch them it tells me that I don't have a driver installed?

P.S. I will now proceed to the driver installation.

Well Amd gaming evolved is usualy installed with the drivers and might not be uninstalled by the DDU. If it tells you that you have no driver installed then the DDU did it's job. Proceed to installing the new driver, and then try a game and let us know if its ok.

Ok. Time to launch a game.

EDIT: By the way, in the global settings, I still don't have the fan speed option.

EDIT: 93 C It still hasnt started.

EDIT: PC crashed at 99C... RIP

It didn't work. Crashed at 99 C. I'm so frustrated. Why don't I have the fan speed option in Radeon Settings?

I GOT THEM TO SPIN! But not for long. I bumped up my GPU clock and Core Clock to the MAX. And they spinned then the PC crashed.

You really shouldn't be tinkering with the clock and memory speeds and certainly not just cranking them up to the maximum, as you've seen the consequences. Even experienced overclockers only increase these timings a little at a time until they reach a critical stability point then dial them back down to create a stable maximum overclock.

You need to go back to basics. Un-install everything/anything GPU software related from your rig. Take the side off your case and get a fan blowing onto the GPU to keep the temps down as your not doing the card any good by allowing it to hit the temps you've mentioned.

Download the very latest crimson driver (which is patched for a reported fan issue). read the following from AMD fully:

I did all of this before. Nothing works. I just want the fans to spin. Now that I know that they're not broken, I need them to spin. Please help.

Ok. I'll try this. If it doesn't work, I'll replace the card.
