Hi all. Was wondering if my AMD FX(tm)-4100 Quad-Core Processor (I know its pretty old) would be able too house the RX480 8gb

Im considering it but can't afford to upgrade my whole rig all at once.

The problem is according too "Can you run it" its my gfx that is letting me down mainly as I currently only have a 1gb dedicated card where as my processor is still standing up too most new titles.

Also I'm pretty sure I would mess up replacing my CPU on my own.

That CPU will choke that GPU from its full potential. I agree with Gam3r01 if you are going to upgrade start with the CPU first.

What sort of CPU's would you suggest too match the RX480?

Or you can wait until mid April when AMD releases the R5 lineup. Nothing against the i3 its a great CPU but its well overpriced and for $30 more you can get a Ryzen R5 quad core that is hyper threaded. That is a no brainer.
