This card is brand new, and runs at rest around 30C, in games around 60-68C. I get random glitches on screen while on web pages and games crash. I had the most current drivers installed that were actually beta drivers, I uninstalled them and am now using the last known prior drivers for it but the issue remains? Do I have a bad card, or is there something I'm missing?

Since this post, while attempting to play War Thunder, I BSOD'd in game.

I do not know how to attatch screenshots here yet so I will type in what it said-

The top download link is the 14.4 standard driver, there is also a '14.4 Beta' driver which is the lower download link. The first link is what you need.

If you already had these installed and were still getting problems then it is possible that the graphics card is faulty. Display artefacts like you're describing do happen with a failing gpu- this sort of thing can happen. So long as...

Glitches like that sound like an issue with the board. If all the drivers are up to date then it could be faulty.

The only other thing to consider is what power supply do you have? Lack of power to a graphics card can cause all sorts of strange problems and crashes...

SolidGear 750W Power Supply - ATX, Single 12V Rail, 120mm Nano Fan, Anti-radiation Filter, Short Circuit, Over Voltage & Over Power Protection - SDGR-750E

Are you refering to the main board or the GPU board?

That DX-Diag looks strange... You're only running the 1 R9 270 I take it? It's referring to the crossfire driver which is strange.

Also the driver version is quite old (dated June last year)... I take it you recently upgraded your graphics card? Did you upgrade from an older ATI / AMD card by any chance?

Update: If that's the case then you probably need to do a clean uninstall of the old AMD drivers first, then install the latest stable drivers from the AMD website. The clean uninstall tool can be found:
http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/AMD-Clean-Uninstall-Utility.aspx

Yes just the single card, my old card is a GeForce GT240 1GB DDR3. I uninstalled all related drivers for the old card as well. There is a current driver for my current card on the manufacturers site, idk if it matters but it is a beta ddriver. I had that driver installed first but the problem was more severe so I rolled it back to the one that its running on now. Can you explain in laymans terms what looks wrong with my DX diag? And how to correct any issues there. Im not sure why it would be thinking I have a crossfire setup?

You need to get the drivers for the card direct from AMD rather than the card manufactureres website.

What looks strange: The 'Main Driver' is reffering to 'aticfx64.dll' which looks like the 'crosfire x' driver (used for dual cards) rather than the standard (I might be wrong here). The other thing is the date: 12/6/2013, I can tell you now the current drivers are much more recent than that.

Link to latest drivers direct from AMD:
http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows+7+-+64

I'd go with the 'stable' drivers rather than Beta.

Try installing those and have another look, might be all that's wrong!

Thank you very much. I will follow that link and get the drivers current. Hopefully that is all thats wrong. Ive been on hold with TigerDirect this whole time waiting to talk to a rep..... >.<

As before, this is where I went to get the current drivers. It showd the Catalyst Suite v. 14.4 and the beta driver. But i dont see anything between this beta driver/ suite and the old drivers I have installed now. Is there a complete list of drivers somewhere Im not seeing? If I install these currents, I will be back running the 14.4 betas again?!?

So long as you haven't attempted to over clock the card, or otherwise tamper with it then they should accept the return no problem.
