So is it slower than the GHz edition? Not an expert with AMD cards so I wouldnt know.

Am I wrong in thinking that manufacturers are in a holding pattern trying to squeeze every last clock from the current generation of cards? We've got about 7-8 months before the next wave of cards.

As much as I'd like to buy now, I can't help but think that the prices are artificially high in the waning months of these cards' lifespans. It should be a hell of a holiday season as manufacturers try to clear inventory though.

I have been wondering why they didn't have stock for 7970 for months from MSI and ASUS. Maybe something better is brewing with better wattage and heat. Maybe?
