Question MSI RX 580 No signal

I have tried just about everything i can think of to get this MSI RX 580 GPU to work,I updated my bios on my mobo and still no signal and my mobo is showing a b2 q code,Anyone got any ideas?

AMD A10-7850K CPU
Coolmax 900 watt PSU
Asus Crossblade ranger FM2+ Mobo
MSI 280x GPU

Could be an issue with BIOS/UEFI, IMO. That error code "B2"refers to "Legacy Option ROM Initialization,".......Some new UEFI cards are not fully compatible with older GEN Mobos. Though, I will dig more into this, and update you on this issue.

Given B2 is regarding Legacy ROM support, it's likely a legacy BIOS issue, and I'm suspecting a graphics card with UEFI should solve it. Are you booting the system in LEGACY mode ?

Is your GPU inserted on the primary PCI-E slot ? Try installing it on the other PCI-e slot. Also, you are having a very poor quality PSU. Do NOT use that Coolmax to power up the RX 580. Get some other high quality PSU. Clear and reset all the CMOS/BIOS settings to default.

@ Metal Messiah,I tried setting the pcie to booting in UEFI and it still didnt boot up and the rx 580 powers on and fans turn so i dont think its my psu

Even though your PSU might not be the culprit as you say, using that "CoolMax" PSU is NOT recommended for GAMING PCs. What's happens in LEGACY mode, does the RX 580 boot ?

If the card still doesn't work, then most probably there might be some compatibility issue with your system/mobo, imo. But to rule this out, you need to TEST the GPU on a totally different PC.

Nope dont boot on Legacy mode,Ok ill try and test it on a different pc and see what happens,I think your right and its not just working with my mobo
