Which of these cards should i get to pair with a 5900x and why? I intend to install linux and put the other
OS's in VM or separate hard drives. I like the large amount of VRAM on AMD cards and they seem to have less proprietary systems built in like Nvidia cards do. However this 3070ti is a decent performer at a slightly lower price.

ok, my friend runs a 1660 on a 4K tv. So I don't understand why you think i should have a lesser card in there. He cares about resolution and not frame rate. I care about frame rate and not resolution. I could simply use the GPU on 3D modeling and video editing and faster frame rate,

Also 2080 costs the same price as 3080 right now, so i don't see the point of getting lesser by price either.

Your 1080p TV is likely capped at 60 frames.

A 5900x and an older card or budget card will max it out.

Need the CPU to match the ability of the GPU, therefore i must get 3070, 3080 or 6800xt.
