so basically 3-4 days ago i noticed a weird grainy artifacting/lighting issue with my gpu. my pc parts https://pcpartpicker.com/list/VY6BW3 . The issue is persistent no matter the clock speeds. the same issue on multiple drivers. i ddu'ed after every driver still nothing changed. not only that but also my performance in 1080p is way worse for some reason in the benchmark and in general. i used the unigen super postion benchmark and my score in 1080p Extreme ( https://prnt.sc/ycc2s2 ) was way worse then the 4k benchmark ( https://prnt.sc/ycc568 ).
Also the 4k benchmark didn't show the weird grain artifacting with shadows that appears to worsen performance when it happens. here is the weird shadow artifacting https://prnt.sc/yccam0 , its really hard to see but if you look at the shadowy part of the radio thing you can see dots and lines. another one where you can see it https://prnt.sc/ycd2bt . its really difficult to see but its there and when its there performance gets way worse.

i asked msi and newegg for any sort of help but both told me to look for local repair even though my gpu is under warranty. i have no idea what to do and im really bummed out that my gpu is faulty.

Are you using two pci power cables for you gpu or just one using it's daisy chain?

The OP is in single channel mode...
yeah that isn't the problem.... even if i was on 8gb of single channel that isn't why im having issues...my gpu is struggling with rendering shadows for whatever reason especially in 1080p for some reason. my fps avg on 1080p with shadows on ultra/high/medium/low. is worse then if i have it on ultra shadows in 4k... in benchmarks or games..also the weird artifacting only appears then.

You make sure your bios is fully up to date

ok so it said that it found some corrupted files and it repaired them. but it the issue is still there.
Using windows key and r at the ae time should launch run. After this type msinfo32, there should be a section with your componets "hardware resource" and everything off to the left hand side in the list there should be forced hard ware look in there and see if it reporting any hardware being forced to operate.

Okey-dokey. It's still a shot in the knee though.

You might have drawn the short stick after all. That nothing happens at 4K but does at 1080p is telling.
The changes Nvidia made to the streaming multiprocessors this gen plays a large part as to why the 3080 is recommended as a 4K card.
Even though those SMs don't have nearly as much work to do at 1080p, that's not a reason for it to 'hiccup' on you.

I've noticed that the FE model is the most stable out of them all this gen. I'd just RMA - you've done just about all you could do...

Have you been monitoring thermals? Hwinfo recently did an update that allows the user to see memory thermals.

yeah that is whats left but msi is really not helping and neither is newegg..since i bought my mine from newegg global and had it shipped to saudi arabia where i live i can't fill any of their rma forums since its for us/canada for msi and newegg says we can't do anything since its passed the 30 days rma period and told me to go to the manufacturer which is msi and msi told me to go back to newegg and im honestly losing it xDDD
