Just found MSI live update and installed it to make sure I had the latest versions of drivers for my X58 Pro-E motherboard. In addition to some driver updates it recommended after a system scan, it came up with some utilities for me to install if I wish. They are "Driver Booster Manager," "Network Genie," "Supercharger," and "Teaming Genie." I can't see to find much info on what these things do. Anybody know what these utilities do and if they're worth installing?

Supercharger is a fast charging utility for Apple ipads/iphones and some of the android smartphones. It just provides more amperage to those devices if your mobo supports it.

Network genie is an internet traffic prioritizing software. It's more of a gimmick like the other softwares you mentioned.

I believe some MSI Quick Guides can answer these questions --- download the Quick Guide with the Description next to it that says "User Guide for Virtu & Other MSI Utilities." E.g., my motherboard is a MSI 760GMA-P34(FX). Current web-link for the Quick Guide I downloaded is: http://us.msi.com/support/mb/760GMA-P34-FX.html#down-quickguide

I personally wouldn't use Network Genie because other people have said QOS in Windows can handle router network traffic just as well as or better than Network Genie.

I would use Supercharger if it was necessary for charging my cellphone but I keep it charged regularly. I suppose if you were on the road and forgot or lost your charger, and lol you had a Windows laptop with you, you could then charge your phone via that app (even when the laptop is turned off).

My MSI motherboard manual said this about Super Charger: "When system goes into suspend, hibernate state or even shutdown, Super-Charger will be still able to provide charging function."
