MSI version of 1080Ti

Solution

It's possible but i wouldn't hold my breathe. If it is coming i would be confident they would announce/release...

You sure about that? I have no problem waiting for Gaming Z if its coming. Ofc if there will be no Gaming Z, there is no point in waiting.

I do have the MSI 1070 card. I bought it only because it was way cheaper. I recommend gigabyte cards and evga. If you want you can get the msi card , but keep on your mind that this company makes a lot of issues when your card get's damaged compared to evga.

I have no idea why card being damaged should be issue. I do not buy directly from MSI(is that even possible?), so if card is broken, that is my local shops problem. Atleast thats how it works in my country, since my local shop sold broken card. Anyway, yes im going to get msi card no matter what, i just want to know there going to be gaming Z version or no.

It's possible but i wouldn't hold my breathe. If it is coming i would be confident they would announce/release it at Computex next week but so far there has been nothing mentioned about it despite MSI already announcing that the GTX 1080 Ti Lightning Z will be showcased there, i'm going to assume this will be the top-end MSI GTX 1080 TI instead of the Gaming Z (not including the water cooled cards). I'm not sure if it's even worth it, the current Gaming X or other brand variants are already solid cards, the Lightning Z will of course have a more powerful cooling setup and higher clock speeds but overall not much change over a Gaming X which you could just grab now. Hope this helps :)

@Jakubek, quick to say MSI is bad yet you have a Founder's Edition card... Not really as fair judgement on MSI when you're using something based on Nvidia's reference design. I agree EVGA has the best warranty service on the market though.

Actualy a FE model is not as bad as everybody sais. I am not speaking about the card I have (the founders model) , but only about the customer service. I am from Poland , as far as I know msi customer service is terrible in Poland and England. I had gtx 660 and I remember that there was a problem with vram , they said that it was my fault that the card got burned. It was bullcrap , I had nothing to do with it and I needed to fight with one of the biggest shops in Poland as well with the msi it self for half a year to get the money back. As I mentioned in the end they said that the card was defected. This is wrong dude , my friend from England had simmilar experience with them , but I've got no idea what happened to his card. This is the reason that I don't recommend msi , not because that I have a founders edition card , I bought it only because it was cheaper and I knew that it will be hotter by arround 10 celcius. Currently I have it in matx case so it's ideal for it :)

Ah that's fair enough, I've got nothing against Founder's Edition cards of MSI, i just thought you were basing your hate for them off the quality of your card which they didn't design. Your reasoning is certainly justifiable though.
