Which is better for performance?

Out-of-the-box, the Evga has the higher core clock/boost clock. So performance-wise, it would have a slight edge. If you are planning on OC'ing the card, the MSI would have the higher potential with its dual fans and bigger heat sink. As a result, the MSI could probably get a higher OC than the Evga.

Good solid choices. Don't skimp on the PSU, either. It can make a difference in overall system performance as well as the obvious longevity situation.

That's a good choice. But for that kind of money, I'd be considering a Seasonic as well.
The $100 one was given a very high grade by JohnnyGuru.

Okay. Thanks again. Ill look into that one then. I knew that I didn't need to skimp on psu because I don't want to burn up my money. Lol. I'm trying to go a more budget but with still performance. I think I can get the motherboard for about $185 after rebates. I was going to buy an asus mini gaming console but my froend told me that it's better and actually cheaper than it was. It was from a rental company so the overall price would have been through the roof.

I know this is an old post, but I’m building my first pc and I’ve selected the same processed and mobo, and debating between the exact same two GPUs. What did you get and how happy are you?
