These 2 cards seemed to be recommended here...

Any thoughts on which is better?

1. MSI TV@nywhere Master
2. Hauppauge 150

Both say that they can schedule recordings of shows...but is that just time based...or is there a way to access online TV guides to record shows?

Also, do either have the ability to skip commercials? I saw a card in the store...a Diamond Xtreame TV PVR 550 for about $100 that said it could skip commercials...but I cannot seem to find any detailed info on how it does it...and the card didn't show up on pricewatch.com...so I wasn't so sure about it. Plus I didn't find it mentioned here at all...so it really should be out! 😉

Thanks for any info!!

Hauppauge says their PVR150 now supports hardware MPEG2 compression. This is a big feature: software compression can take up 30% of the CPU cycles on a modern system, and that can cause stutters in the recording if you're also using your system for other CPU intensive tasks.
