Thank you for your help. I have post all details.

Ryzen 5 2600 processor
Msi x370 motherboard
Evga GTX 1060 3gb
8gb ddr4 RAM
1tb hard drive
Evga supernova 550 G2 power supply
Samsung C24F390 24-Inch Curved LED Monitor

1.Msi x370 onboard video = no
2.Ryzen 2600/X onboard video = no
3.Ryzen 2200G/2400G onboard video = yes.

So to get video output you'd need 1+2+gpu or 1+3

2nd Gen (2000 series) Ryzen came out after the x370 was released, so older stock does not support the 2nd Gen, requiring a bios update. New stock built after 2nd Gen release comes with an updated bios and will be immediately compatible.

Bios update can be done in several ways, borrow a 1st gen cpu from a friend, return the mobo to place of purchase for swap out for updated product, take to a shop who will probably charge for bios update or contact amd who can send a loaner cpu that you'll need to return.
