MSI 970a ga46
HD7870s
Hyper X ddr3 32g
750watt psu
Windows 7 ultimate 64bit

*specs for new system*
Ryzen 1700x
MSI X370 gaming plus
Sapphire Nitro+ 570x 8g
Corsair ddr4 16gig
750watt psu
Windows 7 ultimate 64bit

*what happens*
I just bought this upgrade kit from Newegg
https://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.3517028

Along with the new gpu card

It bsod right after showing the windows logo screen for like 2 seconds. Did some looking into the ram and I did get the ver 5.39 (Corsair apparently doesn't play nice with ryzen) I haven't done any over clocking or even touched anything in the bios, no update or anything. I can get into the bios and see both sticks of ram everything appears fine dont even have xamp on. Just installed everything. Heck even used a esd strap while doing it. And go to fire it up says System has changed blah blah blah goes to boot into windows, bsod on me it's a 0x0000007B error but it only flashes super fast so I booted it again so I could have it not auto restart, looked up the code. It deals with after you change the sata mode of the boot drive. But I havent done anything to the drive. I know I'm getting hung up on something dumb.

*what I tried*

Tried to boot off my windows 7 disk, gets to the screen that is like put in your country blah blah blah and my mouse an keyboard die, unplug and replug then in on the same screen they light up but don't work, saw someone say something about using a ps2 mouse and keyboard to get it to work right and after you format your HD and fresh install of windows all will be well, I'm just at a slight loss. Heck I'll even PayPal someone a few bucks if they really want. Im gonna talk with a few guys and work and try and figure it out, I'm just probably gonna need some help through this, thanks everyone cheers

Solution
Don't believe all that **** about "mining data" etc. it's easy to stop and certainly is not a reason for "forced" updates. I have both on this same system and both work fine, even W7 when set up properly. If you need DirectX 12, W10 is only way to go. It's still possible to upgrade from 7 to 10 for free. You can even activate it with W7 activation code. In any case, you can try W10 for free for a month and see how you like it.

Also figure i should note i tried using a old ubuntu CD i had and still had problems to just test the memory and it give me a basic I/O error also when I tried to do anything. Tried MSIs secure erase+ and it said the drive is locked, I mean Im trying to avoid going to WIN 10 at all cost just because i have read from quite a few different places they are pretty much forcing the update just to mine a shit ton of data and they can pound sand. Plus the money factor is there as well. but honestly thank you for you time, maybe its just my time to finally bite the bullet and upgrade it.

Did anyone ever find a fix for this? I bought the same combo and have the exact same issue. Is installing windows 10 the only fix?

Edit: Yup.... Win 10 is the answer. Installed it with no issues.
