Hi guys I'll keep it short. I was running my ryzen 3600 happily with this board but purchased new case, more vengeance 16gb 3200 memory and rx5700xt.
Put it all in the new case fine (corsair 220T) started it up and pop some smoke and a burning smell. cpu debug light. I've built a few PC's so I know the basic building techniques etc.
Removed it all from the case and noticed the mosfet under the north bridge has popped and burt out. What can cause this with a new build? I've ordered a new asus prime x570 but dont want it to happen again?
Only thing I could spot was the top middle standoff was different. Just like the photo in this forum thread: https://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=109565
Could that standoff cause the problem?
