Hello, so i made an upgrade from i9-14900k & asus maximus hero z790 to a 9800x3d & msi x870 gaming plus wifi & ssd samsung 9100 pro.

I've clean installed the Windows 11 24h2, i've updated to the latest bios 7E47v2A32(24.04.2025 release), and after successfully updated and finished everything, I installed Steam to download some games, and also tested the speed on wi-fi on speedtest, and i found out that i have an issue regarding with the speed of it, which is limited to 85-90 Mbps.

My internet connection from ISP is 1000 Mbps, I didn't made any changes regarding router or network, on my old configuration i had constantly 750 Mbps on speedtest.

Something is wrong with the Wi-Fi on this motherboard, i tried also to uninstall the wi-fi network driver, and add it manually, the Qualcomm driver from the motherboard support page, but without success.
Did somebody solved this issue somehow?
Thank you!

AMD chipset driver up to date as well?
reset BIOS by shortening JBAT1 for about 5-10 seconds while power is off

Are you sure it´s 90Mbit and not 90MByte/s ? Did you plug in an ethernet network cable as well?
Can you check the speed with your phone or other device? maybe it´s an isp fault
restart the router
did you limit the speed somehow?
check with an ethernet cable

All drivers are up to date. I tried already bios reset JBAT1.
Ofcourse it's 90 Mbps. I cannot use ethernet, in my apartment i have everything wireless for 3 years. On last configuration i only used wi-fi. There is no point to use ethernet.
I already checked the speed on phone, i have 700 Mbps. No Isp fault.
I restarted the router.

Is windows network connection set to private or public? set to private

all windows updates done?
I think it´s a wifi 7 problem

check what windows recognizes with following command
type in powershell or similar:
netsh wlan show drivers
check if 802.11be (für Wi-Fi 7) oder 802.11ax (für Wi-Fi 6/6e) is listed there

try wpa 2 or wpa 3

edit:
update firmware of the router
if possible, disable wifi 7 and only use wifi6

which router are you using? any repeater in a mesh network?

I have no information on how to solve this, but I just recently started having this problem with the same motherboard—yet it was working fine earlier. Crappy driver update, maybe? Unsure tho.
