Hello I've recently got the MSI X99S Gaming 7 I have 16Gb Hyper X RAM which I put in quad channel for start but noticed they was no display been shown on the motherboard. So with searching around I saw people saying try one stick in so and so DIMM which I did. 1 RAM card in DIMM Slot 1. And it booted up fine.

When I started downloading all drivers and updating the BIOS, The computer restarted got to POST then shut off and now it won't turn on using case power button or the power button on the motherboard.

I tried clearing the BIOS using the button on the I/O after checking all connections. No luck so switched to BIOS B no start up then I cleared BIOS I got start up then got to POST then after like 30 seconds it turned off. And nothing I try can fix it.

I've doubled checked all connections, And can confirm all parts fully working before BIOS update.

Can anyone help me in telling me what options I have? and lending some guidence please.

RAM comfimed compitable on website. I have no way testing the RAM at the moment but it worked correctly before BIOS updated as noted above.

This is the RAM http://www.cclonline.com/product/172361/HX424C15FBK4/16/Desktop-Memory/HyperX-FURY-Black-16GB-4-x-4GB-Memory-Kit-2400MHz-DDR4-Non-ECC-CL15-288-pin-DIMM-1-2V-Unbuffered/RAM2381/

Also before hand it all came up up clear in the BIOS made sure parts were working correctly before installing drivers.

After doing BIOS update all problems started.

Sorry for the late reply been a busy day. I tried on BIOS B and still no luck.

Do you know of any problems that would cause the PC just not to power up?

I've tested power supply and it works.

What think happened I've bricked my BIOS completey and can't do power on command or someting?

Yeh put it down to BIOS problem. But sadly I can't reinstall the BIOS unless I buy a new chip and replace it.

But contacted MSI and they said to contact reseller (Scan this case) If they can't help then to contact MSI Uk Support team.

Alright I cotacted scan so just got wait and find out

The same issue happened to me after a BIOS update, it seems that XMP or other configuration default was changed and I was unable to boot, after 10-20 second the system powered off without giving me a possibility to enter the BIOS menu,
I enabled the OC genie mode by pushing the button directly on the motherboard and everything back to work as a charm (and optimally overclocked).
I did no investigate further the issue....
