MSi Z170 Gaming M3 VS M5

What am I getting for paying slightly more for the M5 vs the M3?

Full build is i7-6700k
ASUS GTX 970
8GB Corsair Vengeance
Seagate Barracuda 1TB
120GB Samsung Evo

I just got a new motherboard and was deciding between the m3/m5. I ended up going with the m5. Now that I have it, I wish I would have saved the ~$40 and went with the m3. Board is great, but I don't really need any of these extra features.

Yeah no sli support on m3, only crossfire. If you are going to sli in the future, definitely go with the m5.

Yes. The Gaming M3 Will only support 2 way crossfire (AMD). If you wan't to go the Nvidia route, you're going to have to go with the Gaming M5, as it will support up to 2-way SLI.
