If my choice is mid bugget , getting i6700k, ssd5 intel 450gb, ram value ram...
ASUS have more type of vga port on board, while msi don have...
MSI can have 2 way GTI and 3 way AMD ATI cross fire...

Whether u ever test side to side MSI and ASUS...

According to lap test,

ASUS is faster in SSD read right speed...
then MSI interm of harddisk writing and reading a lot, while MSI add on another software allow boot cache inside memory(believe faster) but I not yet have a try yet....

while ASUS will lacking with graphic a few frames...

ASUS design seemingly will not bang for multiple stacking for Graphic 1 and stack 2 and 3 ...because usually asus will come out new graphic card like 1080 which is the sucessor of 980 which give u twice faster MHZ *almost (1.9MHZ) and RAMS which is 8gb...

And GTX 1080 will be faster then 2 graphic card module

MSI are can have more support stack more ATI series until level 2 and 3 , while asus limited to certain extend...

conclusion if u wan one stick get the best choice asus is the best, due to Harddisk I/O and also graphic total solution

If u like to upgrade and stack multiple graphic then u go for ati....

True that!
I come from using MSI only to hating them...
Now the last few from Asrock, solid boards at great price!

On topic I would also check the the Fatal1ty Z170 gaming but other than that Z170 Pro gaming is good one.

lol wtf
and im not saying that because im very much satisfied with my msi board. why the hell make such poor jokes? yes the question couldnt be more imprecisely asked, but dont blame msi for that! their qc is alright, since i bought an used board.
anyways, since i come from an lga1151 gigabyte board i gotta say that, gigabyte suck a lot in mb production! my previous board was from 2007 or so, so i expected the new uefi to blow me pretty good, but she didnt. i already had the feelin that theres somethin fishy there n it all came together after first using msis uefi! man, u can adjust EVERYTHING! u get actually very much explained, sometimes in much detail also! only thing gigabyte had were those nice oc presets for the 6600k (tested it 4.4ghz, worked very well!) and for the 6700k. srsly, look at all the software msi has to offer! its not all crap! so dont buy gigabyte for the lga1151, if u care bout bios configs. also i had two of em at first the b170-hd-3p or something like that and the z170-gaming k3-eu. both absolutely the same!
i bet asus' awesome too, in mb manors! i watched some oc vid for my cpu n the guy had an asus board. visually wise, looked even better than msi!
dont go for gigabyte its shit! >.< except gpus, their older windforce models were great, that i can tell!
