MSI Z170A KRAIT GAMING Internet Doesn't Work.

My friend recently bought an MSI Z170A KRAIT GAMING ATX LGA1151 Motherboard but upon boot we've noticed a few problems the main one with being the internet. We've looked it up and I guess this motherboard has no wifi... that's fine because he has the routder in his room, right? No, because as soon as he plugs it in nothing shows up, he's currently ordering a internet adapter (300Mbps Wireless N PCI Adapter
TL-WN951N) if anyone has any idea what's wrong please tell me. I'll keep you updated

have you fully downloaded the drivers for the ethernet port on the motherboard?
