MSI Z170A M3 Kaby Lake Support

Hello Guys,

My wife would like to get me a brand new MOBO for Christmas and my pick is Z170A M3 from MSI.

As far as I know MSI had already released BIOS update for Kaby CPU's, however my questions is what if the MOBO which I received will have some older BIOS?

Will I be able to update BIOS without CPU? If yes- cool, but if not? I do not have any spare Intel 1151 CPU, as since beginning I was using AMD components. It seems that there is not big difference between 6600k and 7600k (watched some pre-tests, maybe fakes) but still if possible it would be better to pick next gen.

Hi,
You can't update the BIOS on that board without a supported CPU. I suggest an ASUS one, that features the Flashback.
