MSI z170a m7 (LED problem, Mystic lights,)

I have just finished my build...

motherboard - z170a m7 msi
processor - 6700k
gpu - evga 908 ti sc
windows 10 home 64 bit

the mother board has leds on it, behind the heatsink and around the edges...i cannot for the life of me get the ones on the edges to work...i have tried downloading dragon gaming center...gaming app only controls the leds behind the bottom heatsink...but the ones round edges i have tried and tried and nothing...i tried installing the dragon gaming center and windows smartscreen wont allow it...so i disabled smartscreen and it installs...but when try to open it nothing happens at all..i have the dragon center app downloaded to my iphone..but it wont connect to anything because i dont have the software installed on the pc for it to connect too....please can someone give me some help..its driving me mad now...why do msi make this so difficult...my pc even thought some msi software was a virus..lost with it all now..just want the mystic lights working ...

I think you've got the board's feature set or the model numbers confused since the mystic lights option is found on the Z170 Gaming Pro board and not the M7 which is based on an all red LED load out.
