I am running an i5 6600k overclocked to 4.5ghz on this board, i overclocked it many months ago and never faced any problems. However for the past few days every time i turn my pc on the intel adaptive thermal feature gets turned and the game boost feature is set to 1 automatically. This causes the cpu to run at 800 mhz. So every time i boot my pc i have to first boot into bios and manually change the settings. How can i fix this,?

Hi i have already tried that, i removed it and placed it back in after abt 30 secs, but unfortunately that didnt make a difference.

He said replace not reseat. If the battery is going bad the system will lose bios setting and use defaults.

So where can i get the battery from and do all motherboards take the same kind/ size of battery

It uses a CR2032, which are sold just about everywhere that has batteries and they are cheap.

Just reporting back to say that the problem as been fixed by changing the cmos battery, thanks for the guide.
