Question MSI Z170A

So I just won an Msi Z170A motherboard for $35. Is that a good price and what processor would be recommended for it? I'm running an Msi 1050ti right now and an evo 212 cpu cooler. Also what ram would you recommend? Right now I have 2 Mushkin stealth (2x4) 8gb ram sticks. Will those work in this new motherboard. My set up as of right now is...
Mobo: Asus m4a89td pro/usb3
cpu: amd phenom ii x6 1100t
gpu: msi 1050ti
Ram: 2 mushkin stealth 2x4 8gb
Psu: evga 80plus 600w

If the BIOS is recent. the 7700K is the top processor that will fit into it...if BIOS is older, the 6700K, clocked 300 MHz less, will work...

I'd guess from your posted specs that your existing RAM is DDR3?

Your new Z170 MB requires DDR4 RAM, I'd look for 3200 MHz (16 GB, 8 GB x2) from Gskill, etc....

Yea, I wasn't thinking when I posted this. My old ram is ddr3, so new ram is needed. Any brand recommendations for the ram?

Also what do you think about the i3-7350k?
