Question MSI Z170M MORTAR (MS-7972) UEFI Password Not Clearing

Hi,

I have the MSI Z170M board. Some years ago I must have set the BIOS password.

After a hard drive failure, part of my setting up with the new one involved clearing CMOS via battery removal.

As I use 3 monitors it's set the switch on BIOS to not use both graphics adaptors and so only 2 work now.

As I can't remember the password, I'm a bit stuck. MSI aren't replying to my support email.

I've tried JBAT1 jumper overnight with power and CMOS battery removed, the BIOS resets but the password persists.

Any idea how to clear the password? I'm really stuck.
