I'm new to this whole computer building thing and this is the first one I've built. I have it installed, and when I turn it on, everything runs fine, aesthetic LEDs light up, EZ DEBUG lights do not (turns on for about 5 seconds and then turns off), and all the fans run at, what seems to me, a normal speed. Now my next problem is, nothing appears on the screen. Whether I plug the monitor into my graphics card or the integrated graphics port on the motherboard, nothing shows up. If it makes any difference, I have an i7-7700k in there. also, the USB ports don't work, so I can't use the keyboard. The motherboard instructions say "Supports 6th gen intel core i3/i5/i7..." but most people on the internet say that it supports 7th gen as well. I know I need to something with BIOS and the BIOS DVD, but I don't know how. Can somebody with more MSI experience than me help me?

Solution
It's compatible with 6th gen skylake cpu's until you do a bios update, then it will be compatible with 7th gen. If you have a local computer shop they will usually update the bios for a small fee. There unfortunately is no way of doing the bios update without a 6th gen chip or by replacing the bios chip with one that is updated but that may be more than you feel comfortable with.
