I just built a new pc and it seems to be working fine.(at least the ezdebug light says so) Right now i'm on to connecting my system (msi z270 a pro) to my monitor, and when i connect my vga port on my motherboard to the vga port on the monitor, it doesn't boot up. Should I try and use the dvi port?

Solution
You definitely want to use HDMI from the 1060 to your monitor. I have no idea why it's not working. Try resetting your BIOS, and obviously make sure the monitor is set to the right input.

i5 7600k
galax gtx 1060
,msi z270 a pro

Sorry, i should've mentioned that.

If you have a GTX 1060 you should be plugging your monitor into that, not your motherboard. Integrated graphics are often disabled when a discrete GPU is installed.

GTX 1060s only have digital outputs, so you'll need an active converter to VGA. Or get a new monitor with modern inputs.

I have a samsung monitor that supports hdmi and vga, the motherboard has dvi and vga port and the gpu only supports hdmi output. Which port should i use? i tried using vga from motherboard to monitor and didn't work, hdmi from gpu to monitor didn't work either.

How do I reset my bios? since my monitor doesn't even open.
