MSI z270-a. The motherboard is stuck inn bootloop when [strike]m[/strike] M.2 is pugged in. IT won't even get to post when i have any storage device in
What should my setup look like in bios?
I have the newest firmware om the MB. Kaby lake i3.

I have tried Sata 0,1 and 2 with SSD and hdd. IT won't even post, regardless of what drive i use. If i remove all drives and jump CMOS IT Will Boots into BIOS. Any clue?

ok then, with the hard drives removed, go into BIOS and make sure fast boot is disabled. if it already is, look for an option called GO2BIOS and enable that. save and exit. that feature allows you to boot straight to BIOS by holding power button for 5 seconds when powering on. use that to go to BIOS when ssd is connected

I did what you told me, and the computer for into a bootloop again. No post screen er nothing. IT starts in bios when i remove the M.2 drive again. Im clueless.

Yes, IT would boot from USB flash drive, then shut down after 15sec
Of Windows installation prosess.

* The SATA1 port will become unavailable when M.2 SATA SSD has been installed in M.2 slot.

I updated the firmware, so compatability should not be a problem with the M.2 drive. But isnt IT peculiar that it won't boot with ANY drive at all? I have a HDD and SSD i can use, but nooo..

yes that is strange, if by not boot you literally mean not boot, not even to a splash screen or text prompt. reset the CMOS again and try. if that doesn't work, something else is going on, whether it be something connected incorrectly, or faulty hardware.

Well, when i say it won't boot, i mean there is not post, splash, bios or anything. The fans spin for aprox 10 sec and IT powers down. Im trying to Access bios again. And to do that, i have to clear CMOS and unplugg all storage again. This is æ real headsetther. Can it possibly be becuz of the kaby lake arcitecture?

I'm out og options, i try swapping
Psu.
