Hey, guys, I am new to this and am building a new rig and I was thinking about getting the Core i7 7700k but saw that it was not compatible with all motherboards. So I settled for MSI Z270 SLI. So please tell me it is a good idea?

My Rig

GTX 1050 Ti 4GB
Core i7 7700k
MSI Z270 SLI
HyperX Fury 16 GB
EVGA 430W
Cooler Master Hyper 212
WD Blue Desktop 1TB
Kingston SSD 120 GB

So is this a good idea?

Solution
The 7700k matches up nicely with the Z270 board.

I would look at a different PSU, if your wanting to stay with EVGA then bump up to a G2 or G3 550w unit. Or if you want to get a something a little cheaper but still go quality a Seasonic M12II or S12II 520w

Hmmm, I was too thinking about upgrading the PSU and your saying 550w is a good idea? Well then all right.
And one more doubt that I had was was that I just read a post saying 7700k supports certain Z270 boards. Is that so?
If it is then I will have to look up for another board and will I have to do a BIOS update if the board doesn't support kaby lake processors? I mainly use my PC for gaming and I would be heavily thankful if you were to clear this up

Well that EVGA PSU is technically good enough for your current build that you plan on building but let's say a few years down the line you want an XX80 series graphics card. Well that's probably going to need at least a 500 watt psu for the whole system after you upgrade. You will have to upgrade your PSU and your graphics card. If you decide to go ahead and get a better PSU now then you won't have to redo your cable management later if you do decide to do cable management. The Core i7 7700K supports all Z270 boards. It wouldn't make sense for it to not support the chipset it was made for. Now here's where you might have gotten confused Z170 doesn't support the 7700K unless you update the bios. The Z170 chipset was made for 6th generation intel processors with 7th generation in mind. Z170 and Z270 is where I think you got confused. They're on the same socket but different chipsets.

Will this rig be future proof? Or should I wait and keep collecting money for a year or two?
