[SOLVED] MSI Z590 Pro M.2 Limitation???

MSI Z590 MB...

It has 3 onboard slots for 3 M.2 SSD chip drives..

I have 2 running and a 3rd SSD SATA drive that has all the COD/BATTLENET Game files..

Installed a 3rd M.2 SSD I was going to use for my email program... When I did that, the SATA SSD disappeared...

I pulled the 3rd M.2 and the SATA SSD reappeared..

Is there an M.2 limitation I am not aware of??

Problem solved..

I guess adding the 3rd M.2 drive takes away the 2 SATA connections from the motherboard..

I put the SATA SSD on the block of 4 SATA connectors and it worked fine..

Whew!!! Dodged a bullet there..

Shared lanes are a rather common limitation, yes. Always check the data sheet before including new drives. Glad it's working for you now, though!
