Hey all,

Debating between the following boards for my new build.

I have been leaning towards the Gigabyte board.. but tbh motherboards are not really my forte.

I will be pairing them with the following an i5-3570k, 16GB DDR3 1600, HD 7970, 256GB Samsung 830 SSD, 1TB WD HDD, 750W Silverstone Strider.

Does anyone have experience with either/or that would have some input? Also, are there better boards at or around this price point ($150 - $200) that I should consider?

Thanks,

HMF

i'm doing almost the same setup cept i'll likely go with nvidia for video and have a 650 seasonic pwr supply. i'm going to buy the msi, switching over from years of gigabyte use. biggest reason is i really dislike VIA chips in any application. every motherboard failure i had in years of IT work had VIA chips in common, maybe they've become more reliable but years of disliking them is hard to overcome

Nice board. Why would you go for this over the others I listed?

Good point. I have always used ASUS boards and have never had an issue. This will be my first time not buying an ASUS board, only because it seems that other boards offer more bang for the buck.

The asrock board above seems to be quite popular. As long as it's a good overclocking board I might consider/grab it.
