I plan to get a push-pull configuration soon for more overclocking headroom, and on my board, there seems to be 2 4-pin connectors: CPUFAN and SYSFAN2, both of which are placed very close to the CPU.

If I'm not wrong, SYSFAN headers don't get their temperatures from CPU core temps, and so if I plugged them into one each, they'd be rotating at different speeds.

Is there a way to BIOS route the SYSFAN2 into another CPUFAN pwm? Or are Y-splitters my only choice?

I just tried to look for that, in the Hardware Settings section of the Bios.

Sys Fan 1/2 only had the following options: Auto, 50%,60%,70%,80%,90%,100%

Also the Bio fed me with 2 temperatures CPU and System. So I assume this means that the Y-splitter is my only viable choice?
