Hello everyone,
Completely new system, specs:
CPU: Intel i5 4690
Mobo: MSI Z87-G45 Gaming
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 8 GB / 1600
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 760 TF
PSU: Corsair CX600M (600W)
Case: Corsair Carbide 200R
SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB
CPU Cooling: Cooler Master Hyper 412S
OS: Windows 8.1 (64-bit)
So I assembled the PC, installed windows 8.1 64-bit and the first weird thing happened and that was that after Windows usually restarts the system after installation, the screen went black and the system was still running including fans and all (as if it did not restart at all).
Pressing the reset button on the case did not work, I had to hold the power button for a few seconds to shut it down.
After powering up the system again, it booted normally. I tried to install all drivers for mobo/gpu/etc.
When installing driver of the motherboard, it will automatically restart in order to start te next sequence of installs, but again with this restart, it seemed as if it did not actually restart, the screen just goes black and system keeps running.
Again shut down by holding the power button, after startup it continued the installation of the drivers.
Did some stress tests and benchmarks, no problems at all. No high temperatures for both CPU and GPU.
So Windows boots perfectly and everything works perfectly. But when I restart the system (in windows) or reset it via the reset button on the case, it will turn my screen black and the system keeps running, though I get no screen, I can wait as long as I want, but nothing...
I cannot reset via the button on the case, I can only shut it down by holding the power button on the case for several seconds.
Can anyone please help me with this issue?
Many thanks in advance.
PS: I flashed BIOS to 1.9 after this problem occurred, but this didn't solve anything.
