MSI Z87 G45 -Gaming v. MSI Z97 Gaming 3

I had a warranty replacement for my MSI Z87 G45-Gaming, and MSI replaced it with MSI Z97 Gaming 3 motherboard. Will there be any issues pairing Z97 with i5-4670K?

It should be still compatible. Ideally a clean reinstall of windows is preferred. You will need to install the drivers for that new motherboard as it is slightly different to a Z87. Window licence may also require you to re enter your product key. If it is an Windows 7 OEM key, you will need a new window licence then since it was locked to your old motherboard.

Even if its OEM where its a warranty replacement Microsoft will usually allow it to be moved to the new board. It may just require the OP to talk with a Microsoft rep.
