msi z87- g45

Hello! I'm trying to update my msi motherboard, I download the file, extract it, than format my usb and put it on there. now when I try to run the application something pops up and says "The application you are trying to run is not compatible witht he version of windows you are running". Well I'm running windows 7. I'm trying to update to v1.5 but i have v1.2 at the moment. Do I need to install the earlier versions before I install this version? Or am i just doing something wron? Again the motherboard is MSI Z87-G45 gaming. Thanks!

Should be able to just upgrade to the current 1.5, with MSI though who knows, might try downloading again and try, if no joy, email them and ask?

I finally got it upgraded,looked up online and there is multiple methods,but finally got the correct one. Thanks!
