When I power on, the fans spin up, things look good but I get nothing to my monitor, no output. After about 20 seconds of up time, the system powers off, then restarts, after which it will run indefinitely.

I have tested multiple monitors with the DVI, VGA and HDMI outputs on the mobo. I tried 2 different brands of applicable memory and tried different combinations (2 sticks, 1 stick in either DIMM slot). I checked the CPU and CPU socket and both look fine. I used the PSU on a previous build and it worked like a champ.

What am I missing? 🙁

There is a very good change your motherboard could be dead. The processor is another option. Do you have another computer with the same type of motherboard (same form factor and socket type) that you could switch out to see if it will work with that instead?

Thanks for your input! It was definitely something with the memory. I followed your instructions and my system posted. Another thing I wanted to add is that this board has some strange DIMM slots, as they only have clips on one end of each slot (perhaps this is common for boards of this size) so I may also have just been seating the memory incorrectly on that side of the slot since there were no clips to ensure it was fully seated.

glad you got your problem solved :)
I can see your one end of DIMM ram clip is fixed so new builders sometimes go through ram seating problems as you stated.
Anyway i hope everything is running smoothly now, so good luck :)
