Hello. This is my first thread here so please be gentle 😉
My brother's computer is not willing to work. It's a new machine with no system (I'll explain it later). The specs are:
- CPU Intel i5-4690K
- MOBO MSI z97-g43
- GPU MSI GTX 960
- RAM Crucial 8GB 1600mhz
- HDD Seagate 1 TB
- PSU Antec 500W
The thing is that PC is not booting at all. Display receives no signal from the PC. I've tried connecting it through MOBO outputs, GPU outputs and MOBO outputs without GPU in place.
Also USB are acting weird. It looks like they're not powered at all. Keyboard doesn't light up any LEDs even on the "priority" USB slot. P/S2 keyboard is not working as well. I guess that BIOS version may be a thing but obviously I can't update it without entering BIOS setup page
Resetting BIOS setup by taking out CMOS battery or short-circuiting the specified BIOS jumper comes to no effect. I also tried taking out everything except CPU and running through POST but buzzer remained silent.
