Hello fellows,

Yesterday, i try to recharge a PS4 wireless headset at frontal USB 3.0.

For my surprise, they just DONT CHARGE! I try in the back USB, all ports, and nothing...

So, i enter in the BIOS and check all options, but i can't find nothing related with this issue. I disabled the EUP 2013 option, relationed with power consumption. But again, no results.

BUT when i enter in the bios, i realized that the headset WAS CHARGING!!! The Headset charge ONLY when i enter in the BIOS, before the Windows Starts.

I'm using the windows 8.1 and i check all energy options in the OS, and the economy of USB ports was disabled as well EUP 2013.

I count whit your help to figure out wtf is going on with my motherboard.

Thank you and sorry for my bad english.

In that case, something in Windows is restricting the amount of power outputted to your USB ports, which is stopping the headset from charging properly. Ensure you have the latest USB drivers for your motherboard by going to MSI's website.

Also, have you tried any other USB ports on your PC or just the front panel one? If youve not tried tried the others (i.e. the ones directly attached to your motherboard via the rear i/o), try them.
My thoughts? As soon as Windows takes over, it realises that your trying to connect a Sony product and stops it from working.

With MS and Sony being such huge competitors, it does not surprise me at all that this would be the case.

Really? I dont think so. I have a friend that have a Gigabyte motherboard and headset charges normaly in windows. Maybe can be some configuration that i didint see at bios or windows...

Btw, that is not impossible.

In that case, is it possible for you to go to your friends house and see if your headset charges on his PC? That would remove some variables.

Also, does your phone or other device charge properly from your PC?
