msi z97 gaming 5 bad manual instructions

Hi ima newb builder 1st timer, can anyone clarify which 2 slots i install the DDR3 in this msi z97 gaming 5 all 4 slots are black and the manual is worthless it refers to a video that no longer exists so do i install in slot 1 and 3 or 2 and 4 or 1 and 2 or what or 3 and 4? 1 being closest to the cpu
