Hi, guys!

So my PC started to go into infinite boot loop suddenly!
I've figured out that RAM slot 1 and 2 are the reason. Using slot 3 and 4 works just perfectly.
I've adjusted the settings in BIOS to match the performance on the RAM bricks.
All RAM bricks have been tested in slot 3 and 4. Works fine!

Currently running dual monitors. When booting with slot 2,3 and 4, there is no boot loop, but no picture on the monitors.

The problem happened suddenly. I was using the computer as usual the night before and did a regular shutdown. When booting the next day, the problem began.

Setup:

MOBO: MSI Z97A GAMING 7, Socket-1150
CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K Socket-LGA1150,Quad
GPU: ZOTAC GeForce GTX 980 4GB
RAM: 4 x Kingston HyperX Genesis 4GB 9905403-440.A00LF
PSU: Corsair TX750W
HDD: 1TB Samsung HD103HJ
Cabinet: NZXT Phantom PHAN-001WT Midi-Tower

UPDATE: So today, I completely dissassembled the hole rig. I checked all ram slots for bent connectors and cleaned them with compressed air. I also checked the CPU pins, and find nothing wrong. I even checked the backside of the motherboard to see if there was damage. All looks completly fine.

This is really bugging me and I'd be glad if it was just a minor bug that caused the problem.
I bought the parts in late 2015, and I'm going to check if I can get a new motherboard on the warranty. Most likely, it will be rejected. I'm also having trouble finding the same motherboard for sale since 1150 socket is kind of outdated.

Any clues?

UPDATE!

So I sendt my motherboard and cpu to the dealership I bought it from.
The fault was in the CPU itself and I got a refund on the motherboard and CPU to buy new parts 😀

Thank you all for following!
Seems indeed that one channel isn't working well. Might be the board, but in worst case is it the cpu itself. You could first try and reinstall the cooler and tightne in snug, not too tight. Also when doing that you might look in the cpu socket for pins that aren't quite in place, but that's a longshot.

Thank you both for informational answers! I've tried to boot the computer without cpu cooler to check if there is any difference, but without luck.

I've read alot of forum threads about memtest and such, but I cant test memory when two slots are not operating. As of my research, I've found out that slot 1 and 2 are controlled by CPU and slot 3 and 4 by the motherboard itself.

This seems kind of odd since the PC worked fine one day, and the next day it bootlooped. I find it very hard to think that it is a CPU issue, since it has been running fine since I assembled the PC. But if there is a way to test the CPU and its memory controller, I'd be happy to try it.

I'll be sure to let you know if there is any changes and update in this case!
Thank you for your time :)

Update: I ran the Intel Processor tool to see if there was any CPU errors. It passed the test with no errors!
