Hey OC-ers,

I've searched a lot and can't find the fix for my issue.

I'm having success OCing my board through the BIOS, EXCEPT that the vcore settings are not affected once the computer is booted.
(Even though it's set to override)

Example: vcore set to 1.2v, hit F10 and once in Windows CPU-Z reads 1.072v.
This voltage does not change under stress testing.

To prove that this is not an incompatibility issue with CPU-Z(have the current version as of yesterday), I have been able to maintain 1.2v vcore by using software.
This is further proven by massive instability when I try to boot at any frequency over 4.3ghz when using vcore in BIOS. Once using software to jack up the vcore, I can run 4.4 and 4.5ghz.

I tried to flash the BIOS on my last board but the flash failed. I RMA'd the board and will not be flashing this new one.

The problem persisted identically for both identical boards. The current board has v1.7, the most updated BIOS available.

System info:
MSI Z97s sli plus
Intel Core I5 4690k
Seasonic M12II Bronze Evo 850w
Zotac nVidia GTX 670
Samsung EVO 100gb SSD

Thanks! Let me know if there's more info needed.

I've found that MSI command center has the ability to override what you've set in BIOS.

Also check to make sure your voltage settings are on manual instead of adaptive

You're awesome!! That was the ticket!! AH I've been struggling with this off-and-on for so long... THANK YOU!!!

I deleted MSI command center and changed the vcore in the BIOS and when I booted up, it was changed according to CPU-Z, which has not happened before. Amazing! Thanks again!
