News MSI's brings AMD-based gaming handheld, updated mid-range gaming laptops to Computex

This has been widely seen as a slap in the face to Intel. But if they continue using Intel and what Intel claims about Panther Lake is true, then it should be able to drop into Lunar Lake products without decreasing performance/watt at lower TDPs.

24 GB seems like a good amount of RAM for a handheld, allowing 8-12 GB to be allocated as VRAM.

I remember when MSI dropped AMD because they couldn't deliver enough GPUs.
I doubt Intel has the same kinds of abundance issues with its mobile CPUs, so I wonder what caused the change.
24GB is the same the RoG Ally X has, and it's one of the best handhelds, if you can stomach the price tag.

Speaking of excellence tied to eye watering price tag, Claw 8 AI (Lunar Lake) had that same problem.

Prototypes using Intel chips probably started melting when playing Solitaire
Those who didn't, had an autonomy of 37 seconds /sarcasm

AMD has more mature processors for mobile, with a great balance between high performance and energy efficiency. That's my guess.
